How to play spin the wheel truth or dare

  1. Sit in a circle and choose who goes first. You can spin a name wheel on the spin the wheel page if nobody volunteers.
  2. That player spins the Truth or Dare wheel.
  3. Load 10 truths or 10 dares to match the result and spin again. The wheel picks the exact challenge, so nobody can be accused of choosing a mean one.
  4. Answer or do it, then pass the phone to the next player and press Truth or Dare to load the first wheel again.

Make the game yours

  • Write your own: clear the list and type inside jokes, class-friendly questions or icebreakers for a new team.
  • No repeats: turn on elimination in Options so each truth or dare is used once per game.
  • Tip the odds: with weights on, Dare x2 makes dares twice as likely, and the bigger slice shows it.
  • Keep it kind: agree that anyone can pass on a dare. Add a slice like “Pass and pick someone else” so passing is part of the game.
  • Big screen: full-screen mode on a TV makes every spin a moment for the whole room.

Spin the wheel questions for any group

The Party questions preset is a gentler spin-the-wheel game for classrooms, family dinners and team icebreakers. Nobody has to share a secret, and every answer starts a conversation. Each question can be used once per round with elimination mode.

House rules that keep it fun

  • Anyone can pass. Agree on this before the first spin. Passing should cost a small forfeit, like answering a lighter truth, not embarrassment.
  • Nothing unsafe or unkind. No dares involving roads, heights, food allergies, or posting about someone else online.
  • Phones stay with their owners. Dares that use someone’s phone only happen if that person agrees.
  • Match the room. Use the built-in lists for mixed or younger groups, and write your own for close friends.

Odds in a two-spin round

The first wheel is a coin flip: truth and dare each have a 1 in 2 chance. With ten items on the second wheel, each specific truth or dare has a 1 in 10 chance, so any one challenge comes up 1 time in 20 rounds on average.

To make dares rarer, add a second “Truth” slice to the first wheel. That makes the split 2 to 1 and everyone can see it on the wheel.

Questions people ask

How does truth or dare on a spinning wheel work?

Spin once to land on Truth or Dare, then load the matching list and spin again for the specific question or challenge.

Are the truths and dares family friendly?

Yes. The built-in lists are light and party-safe. You can delete any of them and add your own.

Can I save my own truth or dare list?

Yes. Your list saves in this browser automatically, and the share link button creates a link with your whole list so friends can use it too.

Can I make dares less likely than truths?

Yes. Add a second Truth slice to the first wheel, or turn on weights and type “Truth x2”. The bigger slice shows the new odds.

How do I stop the same dare coming up twice?
